1995-2010

From 1995-2010, Malagigi was the Art Director for the Fondazione Bambini in Emergenza project ‘Copii Fundatie de Urgenta’ which operated mainly in Bucharest and Singureni, Romania. He has collaborated with the journalist Mino Damato on Fondazione Bambini in Emergenza since its founding. Undertakings included: restructuring of the Department for Infectious Diseases “Casa Doru” at the Victor Babesh Hospital in Bucharest through graphic and furniture intervention; coordination for implementation of decoration in the rooms of the “Andreia House” department with the assistance of students of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze; transformation within the Hospital of Infectious Diseases of Singureni of a “village” of foster homes for children hospitalized with HIV; creation of houses donated by Italian entrepreneurs into shelters for foster children with special decorations and furnishings to suit their needs (in collaboration with Patch Adams); educational workshops with students, staff, and youth to provide adequate training for the schooling of child patients; creation of adequate space for the practical life of adult and youth staff through industrial waste materials (in collaboration with Angela Nocentini); graphic design for promotion of the Fondazione Bambini in Emergenza; drafting of texts used to spread the mission of the foundation. With the collaboration of Mino Damato, Silvia Saini, Angela Nocentini, Chenè Gomez, Gonzagarredi, Nike Magnoni, Erica Scala, Riccardo Mazzei, Roberto Ziliani, Beppe Plebani, Sislej Xhafa, Vittoria Vitaloni, Monica Partac, Rebecca Ballestra, Aliz Duica, Luca Buzzichellli, Niccolò Angeli, and Roberto Irace.
